EUGENE, OR 3-Day Practicum – 130462

May 13 @ 9:00 am - May 15 @ 4:00 pm

We believe in investing in free parent training and equipping!

Parent Practicum is a FREE, multi-day conference for parents on classical, Christian homeschooling. Veteran home educators will lead three days of training, designed to inform and encourage parents who are homeschooling or are interested in homeschooling. This year’s theme is…

“Cultivating the Conversation: The Art of Exposition.”

This conference offers keys to more than just learning language. The conference will bring together dozens of families interested in exploring the classical model of education and finding tools that make learning different subjects with their children possible. Conference participants will practice time-tested teaching techniques and learn how to open lines of communication with their children that make acquiring knowledge and everyday conversations easier.

The conference is free and registering through the REGISTER button above will secure your seat!

While parents learn, their children can learn, too.
Low-cost day camps ($49 per child) are available for children of attendees, kindergarten to teen.
Advance registration for student camps is required.

Through art explorations each day, campers will learn about basic shapes and will dabble in lots of art projects to bring the learning to life. Along with games, songs, memory work, and play times, Art Start campers will create lots of art projects to share at home.

Creative Cartography  NEW!! (Formerly known as GeoDraw)
Ages 6-8
Your 6-8 year olds will love exploring the world with our Creative Cartography Camp! With a new cycle-specific focus, this camp has been redesigned to introduce the geography of the upcoming Foundations Cycle. This summer, campers will learn about the United States in particular as they review general geography terms and sharpen their map making skills. Campers will draw, play games, complete art projects and explore facts that make US geography leap off the page.

Story Craft    NEW!! Coincides with Parent Session Content
Ages 9-14

Designed to help your camper uncover the “mysteries” of good writing while crafting their own story, these three days will help campers learn to recognize and reproduce the elements of good storytelling. We’ll read stories, illustrate stories, dissect stories, and discover stories all around us. We’ll play with words, act out our stories, and work on the best ways to tell a great story to an audience. Story Craft will be a page-turner!
