Returning to Roots & Reason
The Art of Arithmetic
Are you ready to examine the “roots and reasons” for the classical Christian model of education? Are you determined to improve your grasp on the tools of learning? Are you eager to share some fellowship with like-minded parents? Join us this summer at a local 3-Day Practicum as we focus on “Returning to Roots and Reason: The Art of Arithmetic.”
Playing with numbers!
Have you ever “played with numbers”? Have you ever encouraged your children to treat math as “playing with numbers?!” Join us this summer and find out how to study math in a whole new way, with your family!
Parent Practicum is a FREE, 3-Day Parent Conference on Classical, Christian, Homeschooling. You’ll find a community of local families, eager to explore the classical model of education and tools that make learning all subjects with all their children satisfying. Parent Practicums are offered around the globe from May to early August. We believe in investing in free parent training and equipping. The real mission of Classical Conversations is to equip parents to be great educators at home.
Practicum Student Camps
While you learn, your children learn, too! Economically-priced day camps are available for students of all ages.
Several of our Student Camps have fresh new looks this Practicum season! We’ve got an exciting three days planned for all our students, full of learning activities, projects, games, and fun. For our younger campers, ages 3-5, Play Camp has been updated to include even more art and games. Campers will enjoy learning to draw using basic shapes, and will create art to bring home to enjoy with the family. Some basic memory work will enhance the activities campers will love.
Geo-Draw Camp for 6-8 year olds has a new cycle-specific format that will encourage campers to dive into the geography of Cycle 2. Campers will learn some basic world geography and focus on the geography and cultures of our Cycle 2 Foundations’ work. Packed with games, art activities, and explorations, this camp will keep your children eager to return each day.
Brand new this season is Math Mania! Designed for 9-14 year olds this camp encourages campers to “play with numbers”! We will explore different types of numbers, practice using numbers to solve math mysteries, and even learn to decode some puzzles. With games and activities suitable for younger and older mathematicians, Math Mania promises a “crazy good” time!
Advance registration for student camps is required. You may cancel your registration up to one month before the event and receive a full refund. Should you not be able to attend for any reason after that time, your registration is transferable to another event, but not refundable.
